EDNA - Rescue Ambassador!
(posted 08-15-21)
Female • 3 yrs • DMH
After some deliberation we have decided to crown Ms. Edna as our Rescue ambassador. Edna is the ruler of the roost, and is allowed to wander wherever her heart desires. Edna struggles with anxiety and aggression, and has been returned for those issues. Now she is on Prozac, and is a much nicer kitty! Her favorite pass times include intimidating dogs when they walk past, hissing at other kitties, and screaming at staff for pets. . . and then subsequently swatting at us when we oblige. If you look up the word sassy in the dictionary, we're sure you'll find a picture of Edna next to it. This fluffy Diva knows what she wants, when she wants it, and won't accept anything else. When you come to visit please feel free to request an audience with Ms. Edna! Who knows, if you catch her in a good mood she may deign to meet you!

TRIXTON
(Posted 3-04-22)
Male • 2 Yrs • DSH
Did you know that Trixton is our longest stay cat resident (Besides Edna, but does she really count)? Why? We have absolutely no clue! This sweet guy loves people, snuggles, playing, and other cats! He even had a Yorkie crawl into his kennel with him and he didn't seem to mind! (Maybe a little confused though!) Oh, and not to mention he is handsome as all get out! His favorite activities include: grooming the kittens, trying to sit on other cats in the cat trees, jumping in our lap for cuddles, and playing with toys. Trixton is ready to go home, and we think that he would love yours! Maybe even as much as you'll love having him there!

BARBARA
(posted 4-16-22)
Female • 2 Yrs • Torbie
When is a good time to snuggle underneath the blankets and take a nap? Barbara says anytime! She loves to hunker down underneath of her blankets, and bonus points if you cuddle up next to her. Barbara is a definite lap cat and will often throw herself into our laps for attention. Are you possibly lonely and need someone to talk to? Well Barbara holds the best conversations here at the Rescue! She is always willing to have a chat with you, and the best part is she doesn't care what you talk about. She's just happy to be included. While Barbara adores her people friends here at the Rescue she isn't so fond of her cat room mates. She would do well in a home with like minded cats who will give her space, or as the only kitty. Barbara is all ready to go home and binge your favorite T.V shows with you, all you need to do is submit your application!

BUDDY
(posted 4-11-22)
Male • 2 yrs • DSH
Buddy is a second time resident here at the rescue through no fault of his own. His adopters were left with no choice to surrender him back to us a year after adoption due to an unfortunate circumstance that left them without a place to stay. Buddy is the definition of a gentle cat. He is very sweet, quiet, and honestly it can be easy to forget he's in the room with you. He is content to sit next to you and just hang out, or he is also happy to be left to his own devices. Buddy adjusts to new environment's and people slowly; but given time will come around. Even though new people and places might be scary, he has never once hisses or swatted at anyone. Buddy does well with other cats, children, and does not seem to bothered by dogs. Buddy is perfect for anyone looking for a chill cat to just vibe the day away with.

GREYSON
(posted 4-22-22)
Male • 8 Months • DMH
Hey son, its Greyson! . . . Ok that was pretty bad, but do you know who's not bad? That's right, you guessed it! This handsome man came to us after his family fell on hard times and could no longer afford his care. He gets along well with his cat roommates, and loves people. His favorite activities include staring at birds, and his toxic trait is thinking that he will one day catch one. Greyson is a pretty laid back kind of guy. He would be happy as an only cat, or having siblings, living in a busy house, or one where he's alone most of the day. He can adapt well to most environments, and we love that for him. The only thing left to do is come and see for yourself how cool this cat is, and hey, maybe you'll even take him home!

GOOSE - BONDED
(posted 4-16-22)
Male • 1 Yr • Declawed
Goose is bonded with his brother Oliver.
Ah, What is more beautiful than brotherly love? . . . Well a lot of things honestly, but don't let Goose and Oliver here you say that! These two brothers have been together their entire lives, and they would like to continue that trend moving forward. These boy do everything together: Sleeping, Playing, Cuddling, Grooming, Eating, teaching the kittens their strategy for world domination. You know, normal cat things. Goose and Oliver get along well with other cat, love people, and do not seem too bothered by dogs. Once again the Rescue will not be separating these boys, so we are looking for an adopter willing to open their hearts to both of these cats. If you need double the love in your life Goose and Oliver sound like they are exactly what you need!

SHINOBU
(posted 5-15-22)
Female • 2 yr • DSH
Shinobu, named after a character in a show that heals others, earned her name. She came in with her 4 kittens Z who were already 8 weeks and ready to be weened. After separating her from her Kittens Shinobu showed signs of distress, and was still over producing milk. That same day we received a call about a litter of 7 kittens who's mother had been tragically struck by a car. Without hesitation Shinobu stepped up and took all 7 of the kittens under her wing. Nursing and caring for them as if they were her own.(If you come to visit ask for the videos! They are super cute!) Now having essentially raised 12 kittens, Shinobu is ready to for some me time! She does well with other cats, and absolutely adores people. We do not think there are many cats out there that have a bigger heart than our Shinobu. Her new family will definitely be blessed to have her in their home!

MILLIE
(posted 5-15-22)
Female • 1 Yr • DSH
Millie was surrendered with her brother Brutus after their owner passed, and while her brother was adopted almost immediately Millie is still waiting for her forever home. Millie got along great with her brother, but has been slow to warm up to the other cats at the rescue. She warmed up to the staff immediately though. There is not much that Millie loves more than a a good cuddle session, and scratch behind the ears. Millie is what we affectionally refer to as a 'lap cat' and will happily lay in your lap all day. She also has this weird obsession with the cat tunnels here. She zooms through them like they're the best thing she has ever seen, so definitely grab a few of those if your thinking about adopting Millie, and honestly why wouldn't you? This lovely lady would make a great addition to any family!
