PET FOOD PANTRY

Helping Pets and the People Who Love Them!

The Toledo Animal Rescue Pet Food Pantry is available to anyone who is in need of assistance providing food  for their beloved pet(s). Other pet care supplies may be available as well, so please talk with us about your current needs. 

  • The Pet Food Pantry is open by appointment only between 10am and 3pm seven days a week.  To set up an appointment, please contact us at 419.382.1130.  
  • Please note that our Pet Food Pantry operates by in-kind donations only.  As such, we may not always have the type, kind or quantity of food you need.  We will  do our best to assist you and thank you for your understanding.
  • A Donation Application must be completed prior to receiving your first food donation.

Pet Food Pantry Terms of Agreement to Receive Donations

Toledo Animal Rescue makes no representations or warranties about the food or other items provided. It is your responsibility to check best by/expiration dates, to ensure that the food/items are appropriate for your pet(s) considering their age, size, health (including allergies and sensitivities), and activity level, and to consider any pet food or pet item recalls. To the extent ingredient information is not available on the items provided, this information usually can be obtained through internet searches.

  • One application per household.
  • NO New Pets- You agree not to adopt or take in any additional cats or dogs while utilizing the pantry.  Additional pets brought into the home may make you ineligible for future assistance.
  • The Toledo Animal Rescue Pet Food Pantry is for TEMPORARY assistance.  We are unable to provide food for your pets for more than 6 months.
  • You agree that food received from Toledo Animal Rescue will not be fed to feral/community cat colonies or wild animals.
  • Toledo Animal Rescue can provide food for a maximum of 3 pets unless previous arrangements are made with management.
  • You agree to not resell or return any donated food or pet items to a store.  If pet food or items are resold, you will not be eligible for future assistance.
  •  All pets must be spayed or neutered or scheduled to be spayed/neutered within 4 months of receiving your first donation.  Humane Ohio offers low-cost spay and neutering.  Please contact them at 419.266.5607 to schedule your appointment.
  • You agree to maintain safe and healthy living conditions for all of your pets.·      
  • You agree that pets receiving donated food are for your companionship and not for breeding or profit.
  • Clients of the Food Pantry shall understand that the quantity and brands of food are limited to donations and are subject to change based on availability.
